Michelle Cohen is a writer, producer, director, performer, and intuitive who infuses her projects with a unique sense of artistry and a deep belief that creativity should be fun, magical, and uplifting.
Most recently, Michelle was the acting coach, script consultant and advisor on the feature film Lust Life filmed in New York City and was instrumental in bringing Jeff Corey’s memoir, Improvising Out Loud: My Life Teaching Hollywood How to Act to print through University Press of Kentucky with an introduction by his former student, Leonard Nimoy and art work by Jack Nicholson.
She produced the off–Broadway mega-hit, Schoolhouse Rock Live!, Toasted, the one-woman show she directed, won the Best of the Fringe award in San Francisco. As a filmmaker, Michelle wrote and directed the romantic comedy short, Beyond Belief.
She is a graduate from Sarah Lawrence College and the British American Drama Academy and she has worked extensively as a vocal coach, serving as an adjunct faculty member at several acting schools, including NYU. She was invited to be a guest speaker for UCLA’s MFA Acting Program.
Her singing book has now been translated into Inspirational private coaching lessons by Text and Voice Mail. She can also be heard as the ‘voice of nursery rhymes’ in Japan, for an online program she created bonding Japanese mothers with their children through creative, imaginative interpretations of English language stories. In her ‘other’ career as an intuitive, Michelle has given thousands of private channeled sessions.
